Dwyane Tyrone Wade, Jr.

Congratulations to the Miami Heat on winning the NBA Championship, beating the Dallas Mavericks in 6 games.

Congratulations to the old-timers; Shaquille O'Neal ("The Big Aristotle" 'cause of his Greek heritage), Gary Payton ("The Glove" 'cause of his continuing support for O.J.), and Alonzo Mourning ("Focal Glomerulosclerosis" 'cause of his focal glomerulosclerosis). I believe all three of these players started their pro careers under the tutelage of Dr. James Naismith while shooting at peach baskets.

Congratulations to Dwyane Wade ("Flash" 'cause of his propensity to fake defenders out of their drawers) for garnering Finals MVP honors. Wade, a former Marquette star, came out into the NBA draft after his Junior year. He was the forgotten man, drafted the same year as Lebron James and Carmello Anthony. They got the press, but Dwyane got an MVP and a championship ring. Excellent!

Seriously, how many of your readers even know that Marquette is in Wisconsin?

Almost as many as are familiar with focal glomerulosclerosis.
