A Sad Day

Today is the funeral and burial of the three year-old daughter of close friends and fellow church members. Little Patience died after drowning in a neighbor's swimming pool. She remained on life support for about a week and succumbed shortly thereafter.

Grief.

Steve,

I am saddened to hear this awful news. My thoughts are prayers are with the grieving family and with you as well since you are obviously effected by this or you wouldn't have posted them.

My God place his loving hand of comfort on Patience's family and loved ones.

Thanks, Carol. It's pretty sobering, but we are not without hope.

No we're not. And all of us hang but by a thread! That being said, how utterly sad such a situation must be.

This is gut wrenching news. The only comfort to be found, in my view, is that children such as that precious child go to Heaven.

My heartfelt condolences to the family.

There but for the grace of God, go I...
I pulled my own kid, right about that age, out of a pool and pushed water out of his lungs and got lucky.
I've never gotten over it. He did.

I'm so sorry for you all and you're in my prayers!

Thank you all.

The family was in church today and seemed in good spirits.
