"There is something about August going into September where everybody in Washington gets all wee weed up!"There have been a lot of lame attempts to translate 'wee weed up' into a coherent meaning. Some claim it means to be pissed off. Others aver that it means wetting themselves, and others that it refers to 'this little piggie' going wee, wee, wee all the way home.
The true meaning, however, is none of the above. The first difficulty is that the phrase has been wrongly transcribed. The correct phrase is actually 'we weed up.' In Harvardese Ebonic parlance this means 'we really get stoned.'
Around the Harvard campus one often hears a conversation such as this:
"Yo, Dog."Obama is informing us that everybody in Washington is stoned to the max during late August and early September. Americans living outside the beltway or don't have a Liberal Arts Degree from Harvard can't tell the difference, so we appreciate the heads up.
"What up, Homeboy?"
"We weed up, bee-otch."
"Word to yo mutha!"
(UPDATE: It seems as though I have been disseminating the new 'Pelican Brief'. I have been flagged. My life may be in danger.)
"One lone blogger has stumbled upon the truth. An investigative MSM journalist wants his story and, like everybody else, wants him dead."
(UPDATE 2: Lance may be in danger, too. He has published the TrogloBrief.)
