While on a routine nightly walk this evening I had just turned the corner to make my way back home when I heard an extended tire screech. As I returned, I saw that a small car had apparently lost control and spun onto the sidewalk where I just had been and crashed into a tree backward. Had I started my stroll just a few moments later, I would have been toast.
