Softball Update

This softball season is off to a good start. We are now 2-0, winning the opener in 10 innings and dominating the second game. My training has yielded a great improvement in my own play, especially on defense. The highlight of my season was diving after a ground ball up the middle, nabbing it, and throwing out the runner at first. Playing shortstop at age 61 made me chuckle to myself. 40 years ago if the same hit would have happened, I would have run to the spot, drank a beer and eaten a sandwich, picked up the ball and thrown the runner out.
