For lack of anything else to blog about today, I thought I might post links to a number of other good Wisconsin websites. So, without further ado...
Boots and Sabers is one of my daily stops around the web. This is only a half-breed blog - Owen lives in Wisconsin, but Jed is in Texas. He and Steve can swap tobacco-spitting stories, I guess.
I've linked to Dummocrats.com a couple of times, and they recently put Grandpa John on their Blogger Showcase. This is another half-breed blog - one person from Wisconsin, the other from D.C.
This guy Dean, from Waukesha, has a blog called Musings of a Thoughtful Conservative.
Ann Althouse is a law professor in Madison. Always an interesting read over there.
And Lakeshore Laments is a Manitowoc/Sheboygan area blog.
Those are all more or less conservative sites. Here's a couple for John.
Folkbum is a lefty teacher from Milwaukee. He and Owen of Boots and Sabers recently declared each other their nemeses.
And my favorite, Ed Garvey's site, Fighting Bob. This one goes to the loony left extremes more often than not. Always entertaining.
I'm going to add links to all these over at Lance Burri. Let me know if any of you guys find any more good Wisconsin blogs.
Oh, I suppose we should also include our two non-contributing readers, even though they're both foreigners. Al, of Old Whig, lives in Minneapolis, and of course Probligo, with whom I've had so much pleasant correspondence, is a small, brown and furry, yet green and juicy fruit from the other side of the planet.

Kind words, Lance, very kind.
Be it known to your noble readership, however, that the original kiwi, the ONLY kiwi is a bird somewhat larger than your farmyard chook which has not needed to fly for so long that its feathers are more like very fine fur.
The humble green and brown kiwifruit is no longer thanks to science and some smart-assed marketers. It is now "zespri" and the latest version has gold rather than green flesh and has a lighter skin.
On a personal note, my favourite NZ bird is somewhat more flamboyant than the kiwi. The kiwi perhaps better reflects the quiet no-nonsense NZ attitude. The kea, my favourite, is a far different person - more like a very unruly teenager.

Thanks for the link. I became aware of you from Boots and Sabers.
Two other liberal Wisconsin bloggers I've found:
http://wisconsinite.net/dairyconspiracy/ -- The Vast Dairy State Conspiracy
http://milwaukee.blogspot.com/ -- Brewtown Politico
Thanks again.
I realize you guys are trying to push me out, probably because I root for the Twins, Wolves and Wild, and no longer despise the Vikings (I almost went to work for them at one point).... Oh My God! I've become a Minnesotan!
....
[Later: Typing while prostrate, covered in sackcloth and ashes]
Please forgive me! I love Brett Favre and the Packers! I was born Grantsburg, WI and raised in the swamps south of Superior, WI! I promise to come back and enjoy your lower taxes and welfare reform!
[Regaining composure] But only if you promise to place stronger barriers at the border with Illinois.
Probligo - I've never seen a yellow kiwi - we still get the green ones at the supermarket here. My kids love them. But, which is it that we're calling you New Zealanders - the fruit, or the bird?
Dean - Thanks. I'm trying to compile a list.
Al - did you know that whenever somebody moves from Wisconsin to Minnesota, the average IQ of each state rises?
Al, we consider you a foreigner for other reasons than just from being outta state!
Al, the best we can do for border control is display bumper stickers proclaiming, 'Go back to Illinois'. (Or more specifically, Chicago.)
Weak forgiveness and weak promises. Maybe I will move to New Zealand.
