AP - Suicide mistaken for Halloween decoration
FREDERICA, Del. - The apparent suicide of a woman found hanging from a tree went unreported for hours because passers-by thought the body was a Halloween decoration, authorities said.
I guess they finally figured it out after some kids mistook the body for a pinata, but didn't get any candy.

The reason it wouldn't happen in my neighborhood is because no one would expect really good decorations - that is to say, lifelike (or should that be deathlike?).
The expensive ones are shiny plastic, the other junk is all homemade. Plus, not too many suicides out here in the corn fields of Beloit.
