Barney Frank

Sam Dealey quotes U.S. Rep. Barney Frank, D-Massivetwoshits, after the Bush Administration proposed placing the companies [Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac] under Treasury oversight with strict controls over risk and capital reserves in 2003.
"These two entities—Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac—are not facing any kind of financial crisis," said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. "The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing."
I assume that Rep. Frank's concern for affordable housing was to rid himself of the burden of male prostitution rings being run out of his house by those who could not afford to buy their own houses of venereal ill-repute.
