“We make men without chests and we expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and we are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful."- C.S. Lewis in The Abolition of Man

Sit next to a pretty girl for an hour, and it feels like a minute...
...but sit on a hot burner for a minute, and it seems like an hour!
At the end of my freshman year of college, I was financially tapped out. A friend had paid me back $100 that he owed me, but since it was a personal check, my bank made me wait until it cleared before I could access it. I needed gas to make the 4 hour drive back to my parents' house because I was on empty. I had $7 in greenbacks plus the change in my car. I got 10 gallons of gas for just under $10. It was every penny I had. Today, I'd have gotten as far as Mauston before running out of gas.
Your title, Sit next to a pretty girl for an hour, and it feels like a minute... sure flies in the face of Mark Steyn's narrative on the previous post about sitting next to pretty O-girls!
