William Ayers Junior High

Can't take this sitting down.
The former Ludlum Elementary School, in Long Island's Hempstead Union Free School District, was renamed at a school board meeting Thursday — effective immediately. The new name is the Barack Obama Elementary School.
I propose that Janesville immediately change the name of Marshall Middle School to Sarah Palin Middle School.

George C. Marshall, named TIME's Man of the Year in 1948, and received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1953, was an American general in WWII, Secretary of State under President Truman, and Secretary of Defense under President Eisenhower. As Secretary of State, he was the author of 'The Marshall Plan' to rebuild Europe after the war. As Secretary of Defense, he was tapped to reverse a failing military in Korea. As it turns out, The Marshall Plan served as an impetus to socialize Europe and Marshall's failed mission to China helped in the Communist overthrow. None of these results were foreseen by the 1955 namers of Marshall High School in Janesville. They were still seeing the stars of his Man of the Year title and Nobel Prize.

In changing the name of Marshall Middle School to that of Sarah Palin Middle School, Janesvillians could proudly boast of being the home of the Sarah Palin M.S. Fightin' Conservative Barracudas. What could be cooler than that?
