Our late Uncle Dave was retired Navy. On December 7th, 1941, he was stationed in Pearl Harbor. Fortunately, his aircraft carrier was out to sea at the time of the attack. Even more fortunately, he survived the entire war.
Uncle Dave was also a fisherman. He was pretty well known around the lakes of Southwestern Wisconsin. After launching his boat onto a lake, he would be followed by several others to share in the bounty usually found at his chosen spots.
The following picture reminded me of Uncle Dave and his entourage:
