Topic: The Democrat Collusion With Radical Islam... Discuss

There has been a lot of cyber-press concerning President Obama's religious affiliations and the apparent alliance of the Democrat Party-Poopers and radical Islamists to bring down the America that the Founding Fathers constructed. Most of the assertions of Obama/Democrat spooning with Islamists are initiated by the racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic Tea Party bigots.

We at Grandpa John's will discuss this issue with the very same reasoned rationality by which we have become famous.

First, we will contrast the radical Islamists with the Obama/Democrats by exegetical studies of some major practical doctrines of each.

One doctrine commonly used by radical Islamists is termed taqiyya which means deception or dissimulation. Deception, even to the level of denying one's own faith, is allowed when it is convenient for self-protection when among a hostile majority. Taqiyya is allowed in situations of jihad. What matters the most is that one's intentions are good.

In contrast, the Obama/Democrats apply a doctrine called 'Letmebeclear.' This means 'I'm lying like a Mo-Fo.' Lyin' like a Mo-Fo, is allowed when it is convenient for political self-protection when among a generally conservative public. Lyin' like a Mo-Fo is is acceptable when in a tough election or warring against the Constitution. What matters the most is that one's intentions are good.

Another doctrine commonly used by radical Islamists is termed 'abrogation.' This means that when two contradictory holy verses cause confusion, the latter verse abrogates the earlier. One verse may infer that one should be at peace with his neighbor while another infers killing the infidel. This doctrine dovetails with taqiyya in that the pubic preaching of understanding and tolerance is augmented by the private production of I.E.D.'s.

In contrast, the Obama/Democrats apply a doctrine called 'Letmebeclear.' This means 'I'm lying like a Mo-Fo and deny what I said or did in the past.' One statement may infer that individuals or states have rights while another statement or action infers Big Government rights only. This doctrine dovetails with the earlier 'Letmebeclear' in that the public preaching of freedom and tolerance is augmented by the private production of dictatorial proclamation and legislation that tolerate no dissent.

By this exhaustive study, it is easy to see that the racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic Tea Party bigots have drawn conclusions of a like-mindedness between the radical Islamists and the Obama/Democrats by constructing a straw camel.

Portions of Tisbury Great Pond, the salt-water lagoon fronting the first family’s vacation estate Blue Heron Farm, were closed earlier this week due to high levels of enterococci, an indicator that the water is contaminated with fecal coliform bacteria.[...]

The two beaches are public and located not too far from the Obamas’ private beach. Because the beach on Blue Heron Farm is not accessible to the public, it is not subject to water-quality tests, Powers said.

The Obama Administration has contaminated about everything it has touched. I suspect that the water here is Conservative water and invited the coliform bacteria to vacation here in an attempt to keep the President from infecting it with something even more pathological.

Even in this, the Administration's transparency does not allow scientific quality testing.

Genetically Troglodyte

My old Army unit is having a reunion in Las Vegas early next month. I won't be attending, but the numerous emails have brought back many memories of my experience there. Terrorism was active then, including the 1972 Munich Massacre, the dollar was devalued, the Arabs initiated an oil embargo, and race riots caused us to don our riot gear and stay in readiness for action.

There were many instances of jocularity as well. Most of those involved intake of the local brew. I was reminded of the fact that I managed and tended our company's bar. It was located in the basement of our barracks and was so low-brow that it was named 'The Cave.' (Eat your heart out, TrogloPundit!) So I was a Troglobartender at the time the TrogloPundit was born. We sold 1/3 liter (11+ ounces) bottles of most excellent Schwaben Brau for 15 cents. (Eat your hearts out, the rest of you lushes!)

Beside the normal MP duties, we also provided security for all the European Command Headquarters located on our post and served as bodyguards for the stars. Of course these stars were on the generals' shoulders.

Let Them Build the Ground Zero Mosque

Some of my Conservative co-old farts are distressed over the potential of a mosque being built near 9/11 ground zero. But, unlike me, these haven't learned to change with the times. This is modern America; the Hopeful and Changeling America of the 21st century. It is no longer George Patton's, Teddy Roosevelt's, John Wayne's, Ronald Reagan's, or even George W. Bush's America. This is Barack Obama's America with a modern vision for the nation and its future involvement in the world community.

With the Obama Administration's blessing, the powers that be in the state and city of New York will encourage the mosque to be built. Shortly after its completion they will 'discover' that through eminent domain they will be able to claim the property for public use and economic development.

"Our redevelopment plan will create or save 3,169 jobs and raise millions in tax revenue. That's real stimulus."

That's Obama's modern America.

Watching Young'uns Grow Up

As one gets older, it is quite enjoyable watching the next generations growing up:

I saw this bumper sticker in a grocery store parking lot this afternoon:

In the same parking lot I had parked next to a nice Harley. As I was bringing my groceries out, the big, bad, grizzled biker dude was loading a few things in his saddle bags. He also was strapping a box of 'Tidy Cat' cat litter on the back. My 'smart-ass' (which some geneticists have labeled the 'dumb-ass') gene kicked in and I had to comment. Before long we were discussing politics and the general state of our culture. He turned out to be a conservative teacher at a local high school that taught physics and chemistry. Dude!

Daddy, Did You Plug the Hole Yet?

President Obama at a press conference in May:

"You know, when I woke up this morning and I'm shaving, and Malia knocks on my bathroom door and she peeks in her head and she says, 'did you plug the hole yet, Daddy?'"

"Well, Malia, plugging that leaking hole has proven to be a very difficult and highly technical task. We've tried various and sundry methods without success as yet..."

Signs of 'The Summer of Recovery'

President Obama has touted his economic policies as instrumental in leading to 'The Summer of Recovery.' When the spin doesn't quite stretch to cover the double-dip, Vice President Joe Biden touts the George Bush economic policies.

I'm not certain which economic indicators they use in their assessments, but I have some that I use to determine the state of the U.S. economy. As our church's financial secretary, I can follow the rise and fall of giving here.

One must take into account that our church is located in Janesville, WI where we have suffered some serious economic hits over the past few years. The decline and ultimate closing of our nearly 100 year presence of a large Chevy plant along with all the associated businesses that depended upon General Motors has skyrocketed county unemployment rates. One may suspect that that gifts to the church would also be plummeting. This, however, has not been the case.
