Alternatives to 'No Guns Allowed' Signs Offered to Chicago Schools

While complying with state law isn’t a point of contention, some school administrators find the sticker’s image to be a bit alarming.

Nolan said she is not opposed to posting it, she’s just worried that not enough people are aware of what it means and could misinterpret the new signage.

So, a Chicago school administrator opposes forbidding Barettas in school, and you're offering to forbid finger pointing and pastries that mirror Massachusetts? Do I have that correctly?

The article states that some think the sign itself is 'alarming.' (Guns have always been forbidden.) I offered alternative, less alarming signs.

It's with public administrators such as she, that it becomes a matter of competitive one-upsmanship, Steve. Who can be more alarmist and hysterical. I'm thinking this raises the bar.
